Asian garlic noodles are an extremely easy dish that is heaven for garlic lovers. This dish is a delicious fusion between Asian ingredients and traditional Italian noodles, which means it encompasses the best of both worlds. The key aspect of this dish is the appetizing aroma of garlic infused in butter and oil, which transfers into the noodles once they are tossed in. This dish is wonderful and addicting with or without meat and vegetable dishes and is an easy dinner solution, as it requires the most basic of ingredients.

Ingredients
Yield: 2 servings
Prep & Cooking time: 20 minutes
8 oz of linguine pasta (usually half a box)
Approximately 7 cloves of garlic – minced
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp olive oil
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp brown/white sugar
1 oz of green scallion (around 3 strips)

Cooking Instructions
Chop up the garlic until it is minced.
Create the sauce in a small bowl by adding brown/white sugar and soy sauce. Mix together with a spoon.
Cook linguine per box instructions in a saucepan.
When the linguine is around 7 minutes away from being done, heat the minced garlic in a sauté pan with olive oil and butter over low-medium heat for around 5-7 minutes, or until garlic is fragrant. Make sure to cook slowly to avoid burning the garlic.
Once the garlic flavor is infused into the butter and oil and the linguine is done, add the linguine to the sauté pan while keeping the heat on. Then, add the sauce.
Toss the linguine, garlic, and sauce mixture for around 3 minutes.
Chop up the scallion, sprinkle a handful on top of the linguine, and enjoy!
Notes
The linguine can be substituted with other Italian noodles, such as linguini fini or a flatter noodle. I’ve found that linguine and linguini fini allow the garlic and sauce to be absorbed the best.
I’ve tried the recipe with both brown and white sugar, and both work fine, although brown sugar creates a slightly thicker sauce.
If you love spice, feel free to drizzle your favorite hot sauce or some chilis on top once the noodles are cooked!
